2007-17-05 Small Thoughts About The Ark

Okey so ESC is now behind… Even I was excited about the whole show. Though I only watched last ten minutes of final… Anyway I would like to mention that I think Ola Salo> is fucking sexy (don’t worry Jo, I won’t abandon you). He looks so cute, like a lost little girl with his round face. It must have been around 2000 when I first heard The Ark‘s music (band has been existing since 1991). I think I was watching some concert from TV (Popkalaset maybe…) and then there was this bizarre band whose singer had pink and black hair and was wearing black or dark red latex. You know my teen heart was sold. Well as usual I have been lousy fan.

It’s perfect pop music. By this I don’t mean it’s completely pointless music, not at all. Because perfect pop music is catchy, just enough sugary and there’s point in it. Take for example Father of a Son.

And this year they were representing Sweden… I didn’t vote but Sweden got 12points from Finland so it wouldn’t have changed anything, they were 18th (but maybe it’s good that they didn’t win). Their song was The Worrying Kind, which I liked very much. Very ESC but in good way. It sounded like ABBA and David Bowie would have decided to have sex.
