2007-19-08 New Dress

During the summer I had some time to sew. So I made new dress for myself. I wanted a practical dress, I can wear everyday. I found a very nice model from a handicraft magazine (Suuri Käsityölehti). It wasn’t quite what I wanted in the end and the biggest change was closing the open front. In my version there’s only two button. Another change was collar. Original had typical shirt collar. Partly being lazy and partly thinking that my version was better I just left there the collarand band. I used black cotton that had two brown stripes. And in hem I crocheted three black flowers.

Wow you made that dress yourself! It looks nice! The only piece of clothing I made for myself was a polar-shirt and the material looks so plain and ugly.
