2007-11-12 Must see before I or they die.
I was talking with Jo on Skype about Trend and I happened to ask if we could go to see them perhaps while I’m in Germany. Apparently he had already been thinking that, but unfortunately they’re not having gigs while my holiday there.
I said to Jo that I go to sleep, but I wait my hair are try
. I needed something to do while that.
But here is my list of bands that I must see before I die (or they die) and a list of bands I wish I would have had a chance to see.
- Die Ärzte, I have heard and I actually already know, after listening their live recordings about million times, they are even better live. But of course I have to experience it myself.
- Lou Reed, I can’t see Velvet Underground but Lou is still alive and I hope I will have second chance (I missed already one :/) to see him.
- Rufus Wainwright, the sexy sexy Canadian for whom I’d change my sex.
- The White Stripes, one the reasons why I like this band is that they don’t have bass player.
- Bob Dylan, well do I need to explain. It’s Bob Dylan.
- Iggy Pop, he’s cool.
- Kent, the Swedish band which even a Finn is allowed to like (few members are Finnish), fabulous band. Uh maybe next time when they come here.
- Trend, well I’ve heard they’re crazy.
- Rammstein, though I’m not so big fan I used to be, I think they worth of seeing
. - Sparks, they have been even in Gilmore Girls, did you know that. Anyway I love Ron and Russel
And couple names that weren’t on list because I have seen them already
. Depeche Mode, David Bowie and Infected Mushrooms.
Bands (and one gig) I have missed because I wasn’t even born yet
.
- The Velvet underground
- Ziggy Stardust’s last gig 1973
- The Doors
- The Clash
And now I do something I don’t think I have done earlier. I have a question. What about you? Who you want to see before you (or they) die?

Comment
You’ve seen Depeche Mode and David Bowie live? I am sooo jealous.
I have a long list of bands I wish I could see – the main ones are Led Zeppelin, Pixies, !!!, Queens of the Stone Age and Radiohead. I also would’ve loved to see Jeff Buckley, but I’m just going to have to be happy with the DVD I own.
