I don’t like saying that I’m a fan of something, cos well as Paul McCartney said it comes from “fanatic”. Though he wanted people to use word “admirer”. I’m not so into that either. I’m not those people who wear band t-shirts, I have David Bowie Reality cotton bag, which I love very much (I bought it from Provinssirock 2004 when Bowie was there) and Ziggy Stardust socks (I got them from my cousin and now they already have holes but I won’t throw them away – never) and Iggy Pop belt. That’s all. Although I think I’m very enthusiastic sometimes when it comes to music (but I’m nowhere near those who need to have every single b-side and bootleg and t-shirt). I wasn’t very fanatical even when I was teenage Backstreet Boys … öh… well…. fan. It took while that I learned their names and who was who. Sure my walls were covered of their pictures but what I really liked was just their music (why I liked it, I don’t know). I didn’t care when they were born or what was their favourite food. Though I admit when my friend asked from me all these details about them and I think I was able to answer to one correctly, I felt little ashamed. I thought I should have know more. I felt bad fan.

Musically I grew up when I was 13 or 14; Rammstein, Oasis, U2 and Depeche Mode and then David Bowie little later. And I surely didn’t became any better fan. On the contrary, I still have difficulties to distinguish Noel and Liam, it long time that I remembered that Larry Mullen Jr plays drums in U2, not Adam Clayton (or do I remember). In Rammstein there’s Till Lindeman and some guy called Richard. Things are bit better with Depeche Mode and David Bowie. And I can’t think myself as fan any more. I respect their talent, I enjoy their music and love the feeling I get from good music. Though I can bore you by telling you detailed David Bowie’s bio/discography, I simply don’t have energy to find out favourite foods etc. I try to concentrate in music because that is what matters. I say quite often that I don’t care what drugs they do, where they get kicks (luckily I don’t like Michael Jackson or Gary Glitter) as long as it doesn’t affect to the quality of music. I mean you have to admit Bowie was totally lost in the mid 70’s but the music, wow, I love Thin White Duke.

Actually I was just going to say that I get kicks from John Foxx‘s Stars On Fire and Europe After The Rain. He just has amazing voice. I’m not going to find out his shoe size or nothing like that, not even complete discography (I trust that I can ask from Jo if I need to). I’m only going to enjoy his fabulous music.

Dear possible readers...

Well it just came in mind after I added Angel Slave. Perhaps I should warn you... My poems contains sex, violence, maybe drugs and rock 'n' roll too. Sorrow after losing love, joy after finding love, cute little stories and some not so cute stories. It's fiction, don't take it too seriously.
